Award-Winning Writer, Screenwriter & Editor
Don't tell me you don't know the difference
Between a lover and a writer*
With my pen and my electric typewriter
Even in a perfect world where everyone was equal
I'd still own the film rights and be working on the sequel

*Yes, I know 'fighter' is the correct lyric, but 'writer' makes hella more sense.
Writing & Editing Services

There you are. Over months, or even years, you've written the words Chapter One and The End with everything in between.

Congratulations. You have completed the elusive First Draft. So now what?

Your endorphins tell you to jump right into editing. I'm going to tell you that's a terrible idea.

Put it away for two weeks. Think about it all you want, but DON'T TOUCH IT!. You're still too damned close to what you've written and will miss things.

After fourteen agonizing days pass, read it with fresh eyes. Typos will leap at you. Missing commas, extra spaces, 'your' vs. 'you're.' You get the picture. Fix what you can, and then call a pro. You know, like me.

I offer a variety of Editing Services:

Proofreading
This is exactly what it sounds like. I read your manuscript thoroughly, finding grammatical mistakes. I do, however, have a tendency to make sentence structure mistakes and offer advice.

Proofreading costs 20 (0.2) cents a word. For example, a 50,000-word manuscript would price out to $1000.

Developmental Editing
This is the deep dive. Aside from grammar, I'll be digging into sentence structure, continuity, plot holes, story and character arcs, and many other readability factors. We will maintain communication during this time to ensure you get exactly what you desire.

Developmental Editing costs 3 (.03) cents a word. For example, a 50,000-word manuscript would price out to $1250.

Screenplays
I've been hired nearly a dozen times to write screenplays. However, there is no precise formula for what I charge.

There are simply too many variables in play - length, genre, how much is outlined, whether it's still just an idea, a memoir, an adaptation. You see what I mean?

I'm much stronger in some genres than others. I could never write Band of Brothers but could write something similar to The Hangover. There's no way I could write The Fast and the Furious but would shine at something along the lines of Vikings (history buff) or The Boys.

If you have a piece you feel strongly about, please reach out.
